Symptoms and effects of codependency

Codependency is a learned behaviour that can be passed from one generation to the next in dysfunctional families. Suffering from fear, anger, pain or shame, which is ignored or denied is an outcome of the disorder. Underlying issues may also include physical, emotional or sexual abuse.  However, with the help and support of qualified professionals and clinical experts, it is possible to overcome codependency.

The most common symptoms of codependency

  1. having difficulty making decisions
  2. having difficulty identifying own feelings
  3. having difficulty communicating with others
  4. lacking trust in yourself and poor self-esteem
  5. over-controlling other people
  6. subordinating personal needs to the needs of others
  7. feel a fear of being abandoned
  8. chronic feelings of boredom and emptiness

Treatment for codependency

Codependency treatment

At The Kusnacht Practice, we serve to understand the sources of problems and look at how you maintain relationships with people in your environment. We designate the path of building relationships that lead to individualization and not to subordination. In our premium clinic, the effectiveness of interpersonal therapy is often strengthened by cognitive methods that allow us to confront a dysfunctional dichotomous way of thinking about a dependent personality. Our tailor-made therapeutic plan is designed to strengthen weakened personality structures and remodel relationships. Comfortable conditions and exceptional care allow you to regain a sense of autonomy and happiness.

We provide the very best care and comfort. The investment starts at CHF 93,000 per week, depending on the requirements of the individual client. Fees are settled directly by the client (we do not work with insurance companies) and we can supply written quotations upon request.

The Kusnacht Practice services are not covered by Swiss health insurances. All costs are to be covered directly by the clients. Patients who are domiciled in Switzerland and are therefore mandatorily health insured may be reimbursed by their health insurance for medical services in accordance with the Federal Law on Health Insurance (KVG) and its implementing provisions.
